John Young started his career as an aeronautical engineer i n the UK and overseas and then became a Technical Author involved in writing books for the MOD and the aerospace industry, including the Concorde project, and for the shipbuilding and power industries. He moved into training and was latterly Senior Lecturer at Wiltshire College - Chippenham, designing and running courses in Technical Publications for the MOD and industry.

Research into local and family history and the old clocks in the family provided the inspiration for this project, which has been twenty years in the making.
