The dial of a grandfather clock by Raymond of Lydeway

Charles Raymond, Lydeway: Charles Raymond was born in Stert in 1741 and was buried in 1823. This is an oak longcase clock made around 1790.The 12" painted dial (by Wilson) has gold raised corner decoration, a full-mouth calendar and subsidiary seconds dial. The hood with small caddy has integral columns. The eight day movement strikes the hours on a bell. This clock is known to have spent a substantial part of its life at the Bell Inn at Lydeway
The height is 7" tall (84").
