This clock by William Carter of Minster Street in Salisbury has a mahogany case which is in fantastic condition, with original lock, paterae and finial.
The 11” painted dial bears the signature “Carter, Salisbury” and has a calendar feature; the corners are decorated with flowers and pears.
The hood has brass capitals on the columns, and is surmounted by a swan neck pediment with a brass ball finial.
The thirty hour movement strikes the hours on a bell.
Overall height is 6′ 7”.
