The dial of an oak longcase clock by Richard Honeybone of Wanborough

Richard Honeybone, Wanborough
A small, well-proportioned oak longcase clock by Richard Honeybone of Wanborough. He was born in Liddington in 1718 to become the first of ten members of the Honeybone family over several generations to become a clockmaker, and was buried in Wanborough in 1768. This singled-handed clock has a 10" square brass dial with a calendar aperture. Its birdcage movement is of thirty hour duration and strikes the hours on a bell. The oak case is of good colour and has a long trunk door.
