Pius Heny, Fyfield
Pius Heny was born in Germany in 1826 and worked in Curzon Street, Calne, from circa 1850-1860. He then moved to Fyfield and is recorded in trade directories for Marlborough (Fyfield) from 1867 until 1897 (three years after his death!). He is recorded variously as Clock & Watchmaker, Jeweller (Master) and Grocer. Clearly he also retailed barometers. This antique barometer is in rosewood, height 3ft 1.5 inches.
