A good oak and mahogany longcase clock by Thomas Baker of Maryport Street, Devizes. He is listed as working between 1830 and 1851. The 12" painted dial has a seconds dial and calendar feature, with the corners decorated with pictures of rustic cottages. The hood has brass finials and capitals to the ebonised columns. There are unusual mahogany paterae fixed to the swan necks. The case has mahogany canted corners and the plated thirty hour movement strikes the hours on a bell.
